Teaching is my love and passion. It is my honor to share this beautiful dance form with you. Graceful, elegant, funny, sensual, cute... there is room for all expression within this dance.

Ready to take your performance seriously? Join Zoh'ra's Sunday performance class to learn a new choreography each session, focusing on a different aspect of Egyptian dance or fusion, or skill! This session featured a zils/sagat (finger cymbals) choreography - see its debut at the next hafla!
Ongoing Class Schedule
All students have the opportunity to perform in bimonthly "haflas" (dance parties) for friends and family, and featuring visiting guest artists! Intermediate Egyptian Bellydance:
Tuesdays, 8:30-9:30 pm
Performance Class (Zoh'ra's Jewels):
(Req. 2 yrs bellydance + instructor permission)
Sundays, 7:30-9 pm

The current session is well underway and closed to new registrations. I am so proud of the progress the students are making with their first choreo! Join us for the student showcase (and see a sample of what you'll be learning) on June 18 in Crystal Lake. Go to Events for more information!

Class Descriptions
Intermediate Egyptian Bellydance
Ready to take your bellydance to the next level, or are you an experienced dancer looking to refine your technique? This class is for you! Master the movements you know, and expand your dance vocabulary with Zoh'ra, who will keep you moving and challenge you to improve your dance. Areas of focus will be graceful arms and hands, increased fluidity, powerful presentation, creative traveling steps and fine control of hips & torso.
FITBelly Fusion Dance Fitness
Drawing from bellydance, Bollywood, ballet and Latin dance forms, FitBelly Fusion combines authentic dance moves with modern music and fitness for a vibrant, energetic, FUN workout! No dance experience necessary, fabulous attitude required! This is "barefoot" fitness at its most dynamic - moving, stretching, dancing, this is a workout for your whole body. Instructor Zoh'ra draws from her lifelong experience as dancer, musician and performer to make sure that not only will you get fit and have fun, you'll look GOOD doing it! You may just find yourself taking the moves you learn out onto the dance floor!
